Our History

With over a decade of transforming ideas into impact, the University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) is reimagining higher education in India. It builds on the legacy of the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), established in 2015. UDIT is a State Private University, established under the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Haryana Act No. 1, 2026). The university carries forward IIAD’s distinctive pedagogy of “thinking through making,” along with its strong industry connections and immersive, project-based learning approach.
